That slow stream of water just does not have the cleaning power of a high-pressure shower! Luckily, low water pressure can usually be fixed daily easily. Here are some of the most common causes of low pressure and what you can do to fix it:
Faulty Valve
If your low pressure is persisting throughout your home, consider checking your main shut-off valve to make sure it is completely open.

Mineral Deposits & Debris Buildup
If you have devised that the low water pressure is only one one or a couple fixtures in your home, it is less likely a leak and more prone to be some buildup of debris or mineral deposits.
Water is full of minerals and other debris, all of which can accumulate in your pipes and on your fixtures. This can cause a blockage that affects how much water flows through. To fix this problem, fill a plastic bag with CLR (white vinegar can also get the job done) and use an elastic band or zip tie to secure it to the fixture, letting it soak in the liquid. After a few hours of soaking, that should eliminate the deposit and the water should be flowing with more pressure.
Sharing Water
Yes, it really can be that simple. Low water pressure can be cause by your neighbours, and is especially common in apartments, duplexes and townhouse complexes.
If you notice low pressure at certain times of day, it may be because you and the people living next to you have similar schedules - when everyone is showering at the same time, the pressure will be lower in every home.
Low pressure throughout the neighbourhood or complex may be caused by an issue with the municipal water supply. If you believe that may be the case, call the city to report the issue, if they are not already working on the problem.
